AAPI Stress To Mitigate Physician Shortage In The Country

The American Association of Physicians of Indian origin (AAPI) hosted a Capitol Hill Healthcare symposium on Wednesday. The event was a huge success witnessing the presence of 20 members of congress and senators.

The event highlighted issues like immigration reform attracting active participation of congressmen and doctors from all parts of the country. AAPI President, Jayesh Shah, while addressing the huge gathering said,”   Since we're all here on Capitol Hill, don't forget to meet your Congressman. We're here to tell them what we think, as a body.

It makes a lot of difference when they hear directly from their constituents, so please do not be afraid to approach them." A congress representative of Indian origin, Ami Bera stressed the need of physicians in the country and put forth a legislation that promises to resolve the issue of physician shortage in the country.
