SCPCR Applauds Education Revampment In Bihar

The State Commission for the Protection of Child Rights, commonly abbreviated as SCPCR, recently called a review meeting as regard the findings of the surveys conducted over 375 random government primary schools and neighborhood communities in the state of Bihar.

The chairperson of the commission was reportedly saying that the study has been conducted with the aim of monitoring the standard of education in Bihar. The study depicted that near around 51% of the students enrolled in government primary schools are girls.

It is interesting to note that a noticeable proportion of these girls students herald from SC, ST and Mahadalit backgrounds. It also threw up the proposal of formation of School Management Committees inviting active participation of parents.

During a surprised visit of officials to these schools, the parents of the admitted students commented,” Our kids study in this school, and we are quite satisfied that there is good teaching here. We want the government to send at least two more teachers, then it can be even better."
