In a shocking incident, the body of the detained BBMP school headmaster was discovered in the Cauvery River during late afternoon, nearby Srirangapatna. The headmaster named, R Vedantachar, 53, is reported to have left his home on Saturday noon situated at Ganganagar, near RT Nagar.
Looking for him, his kilth and kins went to his school searching for him. They discovered the suicide note lying on his table at the school. The note made it clear that Vedantachar committed suicide forthwith the sheer neglect of the education department and matters regarding the indiscipline among students by BBMP.
A senior police officer reported,” People shouted for help, and many tourists thought he had gone for a swim. But when there was no trace of the man, people suspected something amiss. We were informed, but couldn't find the body nearby. On Tuesday afternoon, we located the body on the shores of the river in Andhrahalli, near Arakere, in Srirangapatna taluk."
