A bad news lines up for the residents of Patna as they have to wait for another few months to seek quality power supply network. It has been done ahead of the Bihar State Power (Holding) Company Ltd (BSPHCL) decision to extend the dates for bids submission to recruit the stake holders of the Patna Electric Supply Undertaking (Pesu).
The dates to disclose the tenders have already been delayed since Dec 31. The reports from an insider state that the bids were issued for Pesu with an additional change in the eligibility criterion in order to restrict the wider participation and filter malign practices that inadvertently creep in the bidding convocation.
The spokesperson- BSPHCL, H R Pandey said,” "Till date, we have not found any firm which can handle huge Pesu area effectively. We are looking for a major player who can minimize the existing transmission and distribution (T&D) losses and provide consumer-friendly services to Patnaites more effectively."
