Education scenario dismal in Gujarat

The youth of the state of BJP’s elected candidate for 2014 central government elections appear to have been hit too hard ahead of the discrepit education system in the state. 

These are the outcomes of the survey statistics of a report covering the responses of 7500 youngsters studying across 94 colleges of Gujarat. The survey was conducted by the widely acclaimed Brainchild of commissioner of higher education, BM Institute of Mental Health, to get an idea of the mental and physical welfare of the youth. 

The reports, however puts forward a very grim picture with its key findings depicting 48% of boys plagued by anxiety, and 43% of the girls suffering depression. Dr SR Apte, Institute director said,” They corroborate the general impression that education system has failed to generate capable and psychologically mature youth." The survey was done over the final year students studying various disciplines of science, commerce and arts.
