Education Minister Shahi Hopeful Of Education Betterment In The State

The state education minister of Patna, P K Shahi expressed his concerns over the state of education in the state. He also expressed his apologies for not able to make up for the education issues forthwith the concerns of resolving the conflicts related to the recruitment of vice chancellors. 

Nevertheless, the minister is hopeful that the situation will improve in the times to come. He said,” With formation of search committees to appoint new VCs in the offing, many maladies ailing the varsities would be taken care of.” 

He quoted this whilst his visit at the Raj Bhawan for concluding session of the two day conference covering the topic,” Higher education: Exploring new trends". Treading on the footsteps of the chief minister of the state, Nitish Kumar, he expressed grief over the decrepit state of old universities in Bihar. He added,” However, today when I look at B N College, Patna Science College or the hostels of the university, all are in a poor shape. The autonomy granted to the varsities should not be confused with autocracy.’
