Ramadorai Calls for Expansion of Online Education

The world is changing, evolving every passing minute. Online education is the latest innovation of the 21st century. Carrying forward this point, the chairman of National Skill Development Agency and also the vice chairman of TCS, S Ramadaroi said,” The gross enrolment ratio of 17% will not do; we need to move to a 21st-century model of learning, disrupting the conventional model of education as an assortment of brick-and-mortar schools.” 

Furthermore, he stressed the development of IT industry for accomplishment of the move. “For this, we need an IT backbone, bandwidth, educational content and stakeholders who can bring all these together, “said Ramadaroi on his visit to the silver jubilee  convocation ceremony of IIT Bombay. 

He was invited as the chief guest for the occasion. The inductive process was followed by a motivating and inspirational lecture for young and aspiring entrepreneurs venturing to set enterprises and manufacturing units. If surveys are to be believed, near around 10% of IIT alumni are responsible for creating a job market encompassing 100 jobs.
